ᐱᑦᔪᑎᖓ ᐱᓇᓱᒐᐅᑉ
Under the direction of the Inuit Values and Practices (IVP) Manager and the day-to-day supervision of the Coordinator of Youth Services, the Early Childhood Educator is responsible for young children (0 month to 5 years old) in all aspects of their overall development, hygiene, health, welfare, and safety. The Educator is also in charge of planning and applying an educational program for each age group assigned to them while the children’s parents are guests at the Centre.

Planning and delivery of services
- Plans and implements the educational program to foster the children’s development.
- Plans and carries out transitions and routines.
- Provides services to children with special needs.
- Ensures and promotes the health and safety of children.
- Ensures quality communications with parents and clinical staff.
- Cooperates with fellow team members.
- Creates and maintains files for each child under their care, and prepares the reports requested.
- Other duties as required.

Education
- High School Diploma (an asset).
- Specialized training in early childhood education.
