Kamatsiaqtut Help Line
Organization who offers help 24/7 to Inuit in times of stress and crisis. The calling Centre is based in Nunavik from 7 pm to 00 am and in Ottawa for the rest of the day.

Group specialized in residential school healing based in Kuujjuaq. Inuit counselors are available to support all Nunavimmiut including residential school survivors.

Women’s specific help
Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal
The organization provides a safe environment where women can begin to rebuild their lives. It offers support and frontline services to First Nations, Inuit and Métis (Aboriginal) women and children to promote their empowerment and independence.
Chez Doris
In a partnership agreement with the Makivik Corporation, Chez Doris supports Inuit women who are in a vulnerable situation or are homeless. There is a caseworker to help meet the basic needs of Inuit clientele in Montreal.

Tungasuvvik Women’s Shelter
Based in Kuujjuaq, this temporary shelter offers food, clothing, counselling, violence prevention, workshops for young mothers and teens, substance abuse counselling, traditional activities and teaching.
