The program is provided at no cost. All meals are provided as well as the lodging and the transport to and from home community. Guests must bring money for their personal spending.

As long as you are a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement  or spouse living in any of the 14 communities of Nunavik, you are eligible for our programs. If you are a  beneficiary or spouse living outside of the region, contact us now to see if we have availabilities at our next gender specific cycle and we can discuss travel arrangements.

Our aging building cannot accommodate spouses and children but the new Centre will answer that challenge. Until 2021, we encourage you keep up and do your best to go through your healing journey and apply to our inpatient recovery program if you can find a reliable person to take care of your children. You can also reach your local clinic for local immediate assistance at all time.

Our healing program is adapted to each of our guest’s personal goals and respects their strengths and experiences. Some guests enter to our Centre with this goal in mind, and we support them in their journey to an addiction free lifestyle. However, we also provide all necessary tools for guests who want to better understand their traumatic life events, heal in a safe environment and adopt positive and healthy lifestyle habits.

Harm reduction is a non-judgmental approach to supporting guests to reduce the impact of alcohol and drugs on their body, work life, family life and social life. It encourages guests to start their healing from where they are in their life and based on their individual goals from safer use, to managed use to abstinence.

Accreditation Canada is an independent, not-for-profit organization that sets standards for quality and safety in health care and accredits health care organizations in Canada and around the world. We were first accredited in May 2017 after completing the Primer Survey, which was the first step on our quality improvement journey with Accreditation Canada. Receiving such important accreditation demonstrates that Isuarsivik respects the highest standards in the field of health care services and is a great news for the region and our guests.

The access road and electricity will be completed by the end of 2019. The construction of the new Centre shall start as soon as the snow has melted in 2021 and extend to the next year. We are all looking forward to the grand opening of the Centre in the fall of 2022.
